1. The exhibition rooms in New Taipei City Art Center is a subordinate to the Visual and Performing Art Division in the New Taipei City Government’s Cultural Affairs Department. The New Taipei City Art Center includes the Huang Guei-Li Memory Hall (1F), the Art Hall (1F), a room gallery (B1), and an exhibition room (B1). Every year, New Taipei City holds various events such as Spring Festival Exhibition, Theme Exhibition, Invitation Exhibition, and Exhibition for Applicants. The artistic works are classified into various fields such as “Ink Wash Painting,” “Glue Color Painting,” “Oil Painting,” “Watercolor Painting,” “Woodblock Printing,” “Calligraphy,” “Seal Craving,” “Sculpture,” “Ceramic Art,” “Technological Design,” “Photograph,” and “Mixed Media”. With the exception of the Huang Guei-Li Memorial Hall, all exhibition rooms are available for citizens to rent and host exhibitions or performances.
2. Application for Exhibition in New Taipei City Art Center
Application period begins from May 1st to May 30th of every year. For the artists’ works to become exhibited, they have to fall under one of the following categories: “Ink and Wash Painting,” “Glue Color Painting,” “Oil Painting,” “Watercolor Painting,” “Woodblock Printing,” “Calligraphy,” “Seal Craving,” “Sculpture,” “Ceramic Art,” “Technological Design,” “Photograph,” and “Mixed Media” (flower arrangements, pottery landscape, cartoons, etc. are not accepted).
